    • Hey folks, I'm in NS now and being very much weaker than my peers when it comes to strength, need some help in remedying this problem. I have no problems when it comes to sprinting and such, but when it comes to exercises and activities that comes down to sheer strength, I struggle quite a bit. The usual PT lessons help abit, but not enough for me to catch up with the rest.

Any exercise regime recommended for strengthening myself up? I'd prefer not having to hit the gym, but I do have easy access to it if need be. Thanks =)

    • More of upper body weakness. And yes, I know gaining strength takes quite a while, I'm not intending to find any cheap ways to do so, I just need some advice on getting started. For the gym part, not that I don't like to gym, just that I live pretty far from one and the ones in camp are always pretty crowded. So if possible exercises that involve free weights and minimal machine use is preferred for me.

    • No worries. I believe ur a stay in Personal. I also believe activities like chin ups and certain dumbbell exercise ur leveraging lighter than the rest right? But it’s good to hear that ur naturally good in cardiovascular exercise and such training for muscular strength in very much easier. I would recommend gym work for the following reasons. Specific muscle training, Flexibility and variation in training and lastly comfort of training. Training is separate into this manner for a balance and specific training goal. Staying in personal training regime:Fri: Upper body (Lat Pull Down, Chest Press, Dumbbell Shoulder Press, Dumbbell Curl and Laying Leg Raise)

Sun: Lower body (Leg Press, Leg Extension, Leg Curl and Crunches)

All exercise done with 10 reps 3 sets each.

    • strength training.. 5x5 techniques.

do compound exercises like squat, deadlift, should press etc.. and get a good coach or experienced training partner.

strongman exercises like tireflips, sled dragging etc are good strength builder too.
